Pleun is the Massachusetts History Program Officer. She guides grant applicants through the application process, and also manages the Massachusetts History programs and projects. She holds a PhD in the History of American Civilization from Harvard University, where she taught American history and American literature.

Deepika is the Fiscal Officer. She manages accounting, budgeting, human resources and all of the Foundation's financial systems.
Anne

Anne manages the website, the database and IT needs for the office.  Anne received a BA in philosophy at Mount Holyoke College.

Rose guides grant applicants through the application process. Rose has a BA in Social Science from the University of the Virgin Islands and a MA and PhD in Anthropology both from the University of Connecticut.

John represents Mass Humanities in donor relations and oversees fundraising appeals, proposal writing, and special events. He is also in charge of writing print and electronic communications such as press releases and other announcements, editing the newsletter, and ensuring a coherent brand identity. He earned his BA in English from the University of Delaware.

David has been chief executive officer of the foundation since 1985. He has a BA from Clark University and MA and PhD degrees from Rutgers University, all in Philosophy. David has taught at Rutgers College, the University of Wyoming, Mount Holyoke College and Amherst College and is the editor of an anthology, Reflecting on Values, The Unity and Diversity of the Humanities.

Melissa is the Administrative Assistant and Grants Administrator. She handles general grant questions, contact information, calendar items and office matters. She has a BA in Biology/Psychology from Wells College.
Hayley

Hayley Wood

Hayley is a Program Officer and the editor of Mass Humanities' blog, The Public Humanist. She fields grant inquiries and helps potential applicants determine if their project is eligible for Mass Humanities' support. Hayley received a BA in literature from Marlboro College and an MA in literature from the University of New Hampshire.
