DESCRIPTION:Coexist examines the unprecedented social experiment of forced reconciliation happening right now in Rwanda. Genocide perpetrators are being released from prison and are returning to the villages they terrorized in 1994. In the documentary film, you will meet women who have made the extraordinary decision to reconcile with the people who killed their husbands and children, and others who understandably cannot bring themselves to forgive or reconcile. Viewers are encouraged to question their own reactions to violence and forgiveness, revenge and remorse, using the real-life stories of Rwandans to spark a conversation within their own selves and communities. When hate persists, how will you coexist? Please RSVP to: coexistdocumentary@gmail.com | phone: (617) 275-5692 | web: http://www.coexistdocumentary.org | cost: free | funded by Mass Humanities
